Eligibility / How it works
eligibility:
Any youth tournament, sanctioned or not, may participate in the Official Bowling Rankings provided...
- The participants have a valid USBC membership
- The tournament has a minimum of 6 games
- The tournament is scratch
- The tournament is singles
how it works:
A bowler's rank is determined by his/her average points per tournament. In general, you will earn more points by finishing higher in tournaments. A minimum of 3 tournaments within the last 6 months is required before a rank may be established.
Every tournament will be worth a certain amount of points. Factors that dictate the amount of points a tournament is worth include...
- The number of bowlers starting in the tournament
- The caliber of the field
- The length of the tournament
Emphasis is placed on recent performance. Tournaments you bowl now have a greater impact on your rank than tournaments you bowled previously. Tournaments bowled one year prior to the current rankings no longer affect your rank. Inactivity will also negatively affect your rank.
